Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Sign Designer/Vinyl Graphic Installer to join our team. As a Designer you will need to listen to our customers and meet their needs as requested. As a Vinyl Graphic Installer, you will be responsible for installing and applying vinyl graphics on various surfaces such as vehicles, windows, walls, and signs. Your attention to detail and expertise in vinyl application techniques will contribute to the successful completion of projects. The ideal candidate should have prior experience with design software, in vinyl graphic installation, and possess a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Execute precise and high-quality vinyl graphic installations on different surfaces, including vehicles, windows, walls, and signs.
• Ensure accurate measurements and alignment of vinyl graphics to achieve desired results.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and applying necessary primers or adhesives to ensure proper adhesion.
• Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for vinyl cutting, weeding, and application processes.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, and team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and industry standards throughout the installation process.
• Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure the integrity and longevity of vinyl graphics.
• Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to the printer/plotter.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Design & Production
• Logo manipulations, scanning, and editing using Ge**er Omega, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
• Image sourcing: locate stock photos and understand copyright laws.
• Understand resolution and optimal enlargement sizes.
• Assist with maintaining all equipment including computer, Large Format printer, plotter, laminator.
• Previous experience as a vinyl graphic installer or related field.
• Proficiency in vinyl cutting, weeding, and application techniques.
• Familiarity with various surfaces and substrates for vinyl graphic installation.
• Ability to accurately measure and align graphics for precise installations.
• Knowledge of different vinyl types and their suitable applications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Physical capability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites, if required.
