A customer brought me the fabric star part of this quilt. She found the star in some old boxes of family belongings that belonged to grandparents that had passed (I think! ). Anyways, no one wanted the blue star, so she immediately thought that her daughter would like it, and she was getting married. It would be a surprise for her. We picked out the yellow background and the gray border. It went together beautifully.

This is the Book Nerd pattern, Angela Pingel Designs, and it was the perfect thing for a dear friend who was having knee replacement surgery. I put 9 of her favorite books on it, and tried to find fabric that went with the theme of the books. I hadn't read a couple of them, so just guessed, based off of the title. I quilted the names of the books on the spine of each one. Some names were easier to write, so they looked better, but I think the other harder ones were readable. 😂
