What if the first goal during conflict wasn’t resolution — but capacity?
Years ago, we started using the term “Conflict Capacity” to describe someone’s ability to remain open, productive, and curious during conflict rather than trying to resolve it as fast as possible. It’s a subtle but powerful shift that changes how leaders show up.
We’ve built this concept into one of our signature leadership development trainings, giving leaders the tools and insight to actually expand their capacity when tensions rise.
Yesterday, our President and CPO Monica Lloyd delivered this session to HR group of leaders and HR professionals for the HR Conference Cruise as the last on-land session before the cruise sets sail next week.
The feedback was tremendous. One attendee with extensive experience in leadership development said she had never seen conflict/resolution content presented this way. That means everything to us.
If you’d like to explore Conflict Capacity or any of our other leadership development offerings, we’d love to connect. Drop a comment or send us a message!
Fair winds ahead, see you on the boat!
