August was one for the books! We had lots of storms, lost power, had to find alternate routes to get to daycare, or home, but that didn’t stop us from having the best times here at BBCC. We had some picnics, celebrated new friends, leaving friends, and ate lots of treats. We made the best of what we could in August despite all of the craziness and I’m glad we had each other through it all! We truly have the best daycare family around! ❤️

July brought the heat, but we embraced it. We had SO much fun in the sun. We did water days, and lots of cupcakes for birthday celebrations. Spent a lot of time with friends, some old and some new.

Our garden brought us some cucumbers and some tomatoes too! We are very excited for harvest (coming soon).

This summer FLEW by, but they always say time flies when you’re having fun, so we must be having all the fun in the world here at Building Blocks Child Care ❤️

Summer’s here, July brought the heat!

June was BUSY and full of learning outside. We played, we tended to our garden, found some HUGE wormies and a baby toad, we learned hopscotch, and played some more.

We watched our caterpillars spin in their chrysalis, and turn into butterflies. We are still waiting for one more to hatch before we release them.

Our beloved Ms. Natalia left us to make her move, and we will miss her SO much, but we are so proud of her and her growth.

July is here, time to let our firecrackers POP! 🎆

It’s been approximately 3 weeks since we planted our seedlings in the ground, and we are making great progress. Our tomatoes, cucumbers, and pumpkins have grown quite a bit in the past few days thanks to the rain and the watering the kiddos have done. We are so proud of our garden and our kiddos hard work!

We blinked, and May turned to June!

As you can see from our photos, May was mostly spent outdoors on the swings and playing “Bozo Buckets”. We went “Apple picking” for our letter review, and we ended the preschool year with some awesome show and tell! Some of our friends left us to move on to other adventures, and we celebrated them with ice cream sandwiches.

This week, we learned about how to garden and compost. In April, we planted seeds in peat pots, and today we prepared our garden for those seedlings. Soon, we will be harvesting tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and pumpkins. Enjoying our gardening time with our little gardeners. 🪏👩‍🌾

They say April showers bring May flowers, but I think we had some of the CUTEST flowers all April long.

Our kiddos celebrated Easter by doing our annual Easter egg hunt, colored eggs, and painted sun catchers. We also had some really cute bunnies show up 😉

We learned so many cool things in Preschool, and we also planted seeds for our garden! Speaking of garden, we have some GREAT wormie catchers here as well! Some of our kiddos are picking our dandelion flowers for their friends, too. Great Friendships really shine, just like the sun. ☀️
