Tule River Engine responded with other agencies around the county to assist Tulare County Fire Department with a large wildfire in the Alpaugh area. Fire is now at 3700 acres and 30% contained. Tule River Fire Station is fully staffed with Off Duty staff. UPDATE: The Strike Team that E-391 was a part of was released at 1:AM and is back in quarters.

We mourn the loss of the two pilots that gave their life in Utah fighting a wildland fire there. One of being Porterville's own Miles Elliott. May the Crew of N793HT Rest in Peace.

Task Force 5181 in which Engine 391 was assigned too was released this afternoon from the Gann Fire. This Task Force was made up of engines from; Tule River Fire, Woodlake Fire District, Farmersville City and Fresno City.

Tule River Fire Engine 391 spent the day on the Gann Fire assisting in Fire Contingency Lines and Structure Defense in the San Andreas area. Crew is working a 24 hour on/24 hour off shift at this time.

This evening Tule River Fire Department deployed Engine 391 with Task Force 5181, to the Gann Fire by Angels Camp. The crew of four consist of; Capt Aleman, Engineer Felix, Firefighters Castillo and Sanchez.
Battalion Chief Hand is also assigned to the incident as a Task Force Leader Trainee. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE: Our Crew got back to the station Thursday Evening around 4:30PM.
Engine 391 with Captain Parra, Engineer Cortez, Firefighter Zapanta and Firefighter Rodriguez have been busy on the Dove Fire near Sonora. Their assignments have been pumping hose-lays and strengthening containment. Looking like they might be getting released from this incident today. Keep them in your thoughts for safe travels, either home or to another incident.

This Morning a 1:45am Tule River Fire Engine 391 was dispatched on a O.E.S. Strike Team to the Dove Fire, near Sonora. The station is fully staffed. Please keep the crew of 4 in your thoughts and prayers.

A fourth firefighter has died from the Knowles Fire Burn Over Incident in Western Colorado. Nathan Matthews of the Rifle Helitack Crew passed on July 24th from injuries he recieved on June 28th. The Tule River Fire Department sends our thoughts and prayers to the families effected.
