I will be offering a free trial intro to fi****ms class for three to five Individuals from 6-7pm Tuesday the 24th.

My mission in 2023 is to help increase the awareness and understanding of fi****ms, primarily in marginalized communities like Black, Lgbtq, Women and the Elderly. There are over 400 million guns in circulation, and as you’ve seen on the news in the past week, your chances of encountering one in a host of different scenarios is only increasing.

For many, regardless of if they own one or not….how to handle one safely is a glaring problem.

If you or someone you know would be interested, please send me a direct message. The class will be held at my studio, and will not involve live ammunition. This is a class designed to introduce fi****ms safety and handling in a non judgmental and non stressful environment.

Alec Baldwin is looking at a potential jail sentence in light of the tragic shooting death he was recently involved in. Regardless of the outcome of the eventual trial, he will live with the consequences of his actions for the remainder of his life, and his legacy in Hollywood will forever be linked to his pulling the trigger of a loaded weapon.

Hollywood actors, as well as many politicians, have taken the narrative approach of “banning” fi****ms as a solution to a much more complex issue around violence, specifically school and mass shootings. The problem with that however, is the constant ignoring of the fact that there are over 400 million guns already on the street in circulation.

THATS MORE FI****MS THAN PEOPLE IN THE UNITED STATES!

The truth is……your potential….or that of a loved one, to come in close proximity to a firearm at some point in your life, is exponentially greater than not. Having an attitude of simply ignoring their existence can have grave repercussions. pardon the pun.

Education, specifically on how to safely interact with a firearm, can and is a far more effective approach to dealing with deaths related to fi****ms (accidents account for the highest number of fatalities) than passing legislation that will have zero impact on the guns currently in circulation. All of this, and we haven’t even broached the subject of personal protection.

What’s my point…..I have created a program specifically set out to do three things….1. Help teach firearm safety to as many people as possible. 2. Address the potential violence everyday people encounter, and help provide awareness and knowledge to address that threat. And 3.…….(the most personal to me)…..INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF GUN OWNERS SPECIFICALLY FROM MINORITY, MARGINALIZED, and UNDERREPRESENTED COMMUNITIES.

Personal protection, and safety is not necessarily about weaponry. Your most valuable asset in terms of staying safe, is your situation awareness and understanding of your surroundings.

 Take a look at this video involving two unfortunate gentlemen, located in Orlando Florida from last week, and how something as simple as where you park, and a lack of paying attention can cost you your life. 

Stay alert, stay trained, stay armed, and vigilant.
