If you are into motorcycles, whether you own some, dream to ride one, or just appreciate the craftmanship, then this weekend will basically be Christmas for you. Zidell Yards will be the home of hundreds of custom bikes this Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.

The One Motorcycle Show is back for its 17th year in Portland, showing off an impressive variety of custom bikes. They include one particular bike created specifically for the One Moto Show by students at Portland Public Schools’ Alliance High School.

The One Moto Show takes place this weekend (May 1-3) at Zidell Yards. Gates open at 9 a.m. each day. For tickets and information, head over to the The1Moto.com.

Alliance High School, a secondary, vocational school, provided a student-built bike for the show to show off the incredible skills of the attending students. Founder Thor Drake said this is the first time in the history of The One Moto Show that they have developed a program around education and trying to help the future generations understand how to build bikes.

"Junkyard Princess" by local Author Robyn Saunders Wilson finds meaning in a rusting world.

So, what does the average twelve-year old girl know about cars, grease, and making a quick buck? You'd be surprised. The Salem, Oregon, resident and writer joined Everyday Northwest's Nicole DeCosta in-studio to talk about finding herself in the "not so buttoned up" high desert and learning at a young age that surviving meant so many different things to different people.

The book "Eleven Suitcases" by best-selling author David Schnurman shows what can happen when you break routines and make bold moves.

In 2019, David and Kelli Schnurman — and their three young children — packed eleven suitcases and moved from Brooklyn to Barcelona. Chasing travel, curiosity, and intention, the new zip code not only switched up their day-to-day habits, but transformed their family's meaning of success.

Nicole DeCosta spoke with Schnurman about the decision, the destination, and the destiny. The book touches on why we postpone change and offers insight into what happens when we stop waiting for "someday." Learn more at ElevenSuitcases.com.

🎤 New Kids On The Block have extended their Las Vegas residency with 16 additional shows this year, were honored with a "Key" to the city, and proved their commitment to Vegas in a mock wedding ceremony at Little White Wedding Chapel.

And, in honor of New Kids on the Block Day — which takes place each year on April 24 dating back to 1989 when a former Massachusetts governor wanted to honor the group's huge contribution to pop culture and music — Everyday Northwest's Nicole DeCosta caught up with producer and singer Danny Wood from the band so we can start planning our trips to the Vegas Strip.

Learn more about Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, and Danny Wood from New Kids on the Block — and get tickets — at NKOTB.com. Have fun!
