School is in session, and we’re sharing one of our favorite campus projects to date: Anchor House at UC Berkeley✨️⁠

Anchor House is a state-of-the-art campus housing building designed with transfer students in mind, offering modern amenities and collaborative spaces for both students and the community.⁠

Located one block from campus, this building includes an indoor/outdoor fitness center and yoga studio, a maker’s space run by the Berkeley Art Studio, and special places to unwind and watch movies, cook, garden, and appreciate Bay Area sunsets with new friends.⁠

More than just bedrooms with desks, Anchor House provides transfer students with an anchor of support and a source of well-being and community.⁠

We’re shining a light on another one of our amazing team members, Amy!

We asked Amy what her favorite part of her job is AND her favorite hobby outside of work. Here’s what she shared:

Favorite part of her job:

Being part of a team that helps bring projects to life. I love collaborating with so many different people, supporting clients in reaching their goals, and knowing that the work we do helps projects stay on time and within budget. I also really appreciate the culture of care, kindness, and clear communication that makes this such a great team to be part of.

Favorite hobbies outside of work:

Right now, my favorite pastime is being a first-time grandma and loving on my granddaughter, Callie Jane! I also love getting creative with embroidery, watercolor, mixed-media art, and upcycling, along with tackling projects around our home and spending time with my family.

We are grateful for all that Amy brings to our team!

Project Spotlight: Hotel Daphne, Houston ✨

We’re so proud to have served as procurement partner on this one! Our team delivered high-touch vintage sourcing — reupholstery, rewiring, and custom installs — alongside full OS&E coordination to keep vendors and timelines aligned every step of the way.

Working closely with the Bunkhouse design team, we turned their vision into reality, all while navigating serious tariff and freight headwinds to protect the project budget from start to finish.

This is what procurement partnership looks like: detail-driven, adaptable, and always in service of the design.

Favorite part of her job:

My favorite (and the most rewarding) part of my job is the combination of both building meaningful relationships with clients, while working alongside a talented team to deliver successful results. It creates a sense of partnership, accomplishment, and shared success that makes the work enjoyable and motivating.

Favorite hobbies outside of work:

When I’m not working, my favorite pastime is creating a home for my family. Whether I’m cooking a great meal, working in the yard, painting a room a new color, or mentally redesigning a kitchen or bathroom for the hundredth time, I genuinely enjoy making our space feel relaxing. There’s something deeply rewarding about creating a home where family and friends feel comfortable and always welcome.

We are grateful for all that Kate brings to our team!
