It is with profound sadness that we pause and offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of Portland Security and Protection co-founder and Managing Partner, John Shumate. John passed away very suddenly this weekend of natural causes while traveling for a family event.

His mark upon PSP, as well as the broader MIP Security Services family, as well as his colleagues throughout the United States on crisis response and disaster response contracts was immeasurable. We will miss John’s larger than life presence, infectious smile and guidance as a critical leader in our organization and in our personal interactions. John’s exceptional experience, along with his depth of humanity and leadership in our industry will be dearly missed at MIP and PSP.

Due to several recent contract awards and partnership agreements solidifying, our parent company, Markham Investigation and Protection, the premier protective security, crisis and disaster response surge capacity staffing firm; is updating our deployment rosters for opportunities related to our Executive Protection (static and travel teams), Crisis Response (strikes, labor disputes) and Disaster Response (fires, floods, hurricanes, natural disasters, man made disasters) rosters. These rosters are utilized to fill new and existing details throughout the United States, and globally. With extending partnerships with logistics and base camp management firms, we also have deployment opportunities in wide variety of support services for lock ins, base camps, fire camps and other temporary housing situations, including truck drivers, sanitation, housekeeping, laundry services, general laborers, administrative and management professionals, generator service technicians and much more.
