Hey there all, this is Teresa’s husband and co-owner Jeff Wold posting to her page.
I regret to share that Teresa passed away yesterday afternoon. She was a strong woman who spent the last 9 years fighting stage 3 then stage 4 breast cancer. She loved meeting and talking to people at her embroidery business sharing the love of Jesus with them, listening and giving advice to those who wanted it.
We often joked that she was running an emotional support center on the side as many customers felt comfortable talking candidly with her about all kinds of things and issues, and Teresa was always attentive, discreet and supportive.
She had a deep love for people as well as her many furry and feathered creatures.
In her “pre-family” days she was instrumental in her role as treasurer for the Oregon Bluegrass Association, and ‘front of house’ sound mixer for many national bluegrass bands that came through Portland in the 80’s & 90’s. She was a talented bass player in several bands and also played the guitar, mandolin & violin.
She was active as a homeschooler and also with charter schools in Oregon City running a fund raising coffee station that purchased equipment for the math and music departments.
She passed to the sweet violin playing of our daughter Emma at 2:56pm, and appeared to be free of pain as the Lord took her home.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and thoughtful messages. We greatly appreciate them, as Teresa will be greatly missed.
I’m working on finding a new owner for the business to continue the excellent work and recognize the importance of keeping your various corporate logos & embroidery files available to you when you need to re-access them.
Unfortunately, despite being the “co-owner” I was really more of a helper and she ran the business and operated the machines and everything.
As you were probably aware, Teresa had a keen eye for embroidery and did everything she could to make sure her customers were happy with the work and she cared deeply for you and the work she did.
I will update this page so you will know where to go for your future and uninterrupted embroidery needs.
This phone will remain active till the situation is resolved.
My deepest thanks to all of you with any connection to BNG.
