This small pantry is 23 inches deep, which is incredibly common, and also always a challenge. Deep shelves swallow items in the back. IYKYK!

My go-to solution for pantries like this is the STAK container from The Container Store! It comes in three different widths with removable dividers, so I can customize the setup based on what’s being stored in each spot. Each container also has small wheels on one end, so instead of digging around blindly, you just roll it forward.

We decanted the baking items and grains into these, with one category per container so nothing gets mixed together in the depth of the shelf.

Then... we added rechargeable, motion activated LED strip lights under each shelf! Now the pantry lights up automatically the second you open the door.

My client was thrilled, and we didn’t need to do any remodeling to make this space fully accessible. Just the right containers and a little light. ✨

These images are from the very first time I organized this client’s primary closet, right after they moved into their new home. We sorted through everything they owned, did some solid reducing, and repurposed their existing containers.

I’m excited to share that phase two is coming soon! That will be a full redesign with new containers from The Container Store. I’ll be sharing those photos and videos soon. Stay tuned for the updated results! ✨

Bathroom drawer before and after! This one was pretty straightforward to organize. Clear containers do the heavy lifting, and they fit perfectly in this drawer, which doesn't always happen.

Giving everything a home and dividing by category means you can see everything at a glance without digging around. I can't tell you how much I love that! ✨

This utility/laundry room was the main storage area for my client in her 2-bedroom condo. She had a small IP (industrial post) shelf with fabric containers, but she needed more space.

The best way achieve do this is to store items vertically, so we added two new shelves and swapped the fabric bins for acrylic ones. They’re sturdier, and being clear means you can see everything at a glance.

Every piece here was selected to fit this specific space and how my client uses it.

That’s what customizing a storage room often looks like: measuring first, then choosing products that maximize every inch.

All of these are from The Container Store. Search clear shoe bins, divided pantry bins, Oxo XL pop containers, and the Everything Organizer bins to find them. That last one I really love, they come in multiple sizes and are stackable.

What you’re seeing is a utility area with two separate drawers, each with a completely custom designed acrylic insert! Nothing here came off a store shelf. Every inch of this layout was designed for this client, these drawers, and these exact items.

Here’s what customizing on this level looks like:

👉 We start by sorting through the items and reducing if necessary.

👉 Then I measure every single item and design exactly where each one will live.

👉 The design is submitted to the company, they fabricate the insert, and about eight weeks later it arrives as a single polished piece. It’s made of antimicrobial acrylic, so it doesn’t hold germs.

My background in Fine Art and Graphic Design really shows up here in my organizing work. Designing a layout down to the fraction of an inch is that same thinking, applied to a junk drawer.

This is an investment, but for someone who wants the highest quality out there and a balanced look, this is the solution!

What do you think? ✨

This made me laugh. Good boxes are the best! I often try to use what clients have on hand before we buy anything. The vast majority of people have quite a few!

I think they are worth holding onto - within reason. If your saved boxes are becoming clutter and getting in your way, let go of some of the less appealing ones. 😉

You guys know I love to support women-owned businesses! As a certified woman-owned business myself, it feels so meaningful to shine the spotlight on deserving folks making the Portland community stronger.

I recently stopped by , which just opened a second location in downtown Milwaukie (their other store is in Beaverton).

The owner, Danielle, was so lovely, and the shop is full of wonderful decor with pops of color everywhere you look. I could have spent all afternoon in there.

I happened to visit on First Friday, when local businesses stay open late on the first Friday of the month. Milwaukie was hopping! Live music, shops open, people out and about. It was so much fun.

If you're in the area, go say hi to Danielle and see the new space for yourself. ❤️

This cabinet has been my client’s gift wrapping station for years, and we finally decided to tackle it!

Once everything was pulled out and sorted, the system came together nicely.

👉 We created a separate drawer for boxes and Christmas items, added bins for bows and ribbon, and tucked tissue paper and gift bags into shallow bins along the bottom.

👉 The rolled wrapping paper stayed up top, and we’re adding tension rods to hang each roll so they’re easy to grab.

The biggest decision was what to do with all the loose bits of ribbon. They’d been sitting in there for years, so we pulled out the larger usable pieces and let the rest go.

Here’s a tip if you save ribbon scraps: be honest with yourself about whether you actually use them or just like the idea of using them someday.

My client realized she never reached for those little pieces, and they were taking up valuable space she could use for things she loves. If you’re not going to use it, let it go. ❤️

Three of my favorite closet tricks. When it comes to organizing the closet, it's all about creating systems that make sense for what you own and how you live.

I'll add one that didn't make the list: shop your own closet before buying anything new. Pull a few pieces you forgot you owned to the front and give them a fresh look. You'll often find you already have what you were about to go buy.

Which of these are you trying first? ❤️

Clear drawer organizers in a bathroom drawer are my go-to system. This time they fit perfectly, which is kind of rare!

Easy peasy to organize. Dividing a drawer by category makes such a huge difference in how easy it is to maintain. When everything has a home, it stays that way. ✨
