Hey y’all,

Happy New Year! I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in town, as a lot of you know. I don’t always get to thank the wonderful humans that make up the service industry, but I wanted to take the opportunity to do that now.

This is Erica, who has worked for the past three years. She tells me that she loves it when the staff takes an annual trip to Spain. How great of a company perk is that?

Erica’s favorite dishes on the restaurant’s menu right now are:
- Cordero: lamb belly skewer, smoked eggplant, roasted quince, citrus gremolata
- Ensalada de Remolacha: smoked beets, albacore tonnato, pomegranate, radish

Egg noodle goodness, some of Portland’s very best chicken wings, crispy chewy chive cakes.

Jipbap refers to meals made and eaten at home, usually prepared by a parent or family member. It’s simple, nourishing everyday food and a symbol of care and love.

jipbap menu includes kimchi, kale and mushrooms (so so good), caramelized carrots, kimchi fritter, crab and egg, and your choice of entree like galbijjim or jangban gaksu. Finishes off with a coffee jelly tiramasu.

Lovely dinner , a one Michelin star restaurant in Avignon. A short walk from the Palais des Papes, wonderful seven course dinner with nice service. Steak, cod, and mussels were highlights.
