Saturday will be our last day open in the tasting room.

After 8 years of pouring, building, worrying, celebrating, and quietly showing up every day, this space is coming to a close. I’ve always stayed behind the scenes, but today felt like the right moment to step forward and say thank you—truly.

This isn’t goodbye to the wine. You’ll still find us on shelves and at restaurants that believe in what we do. But this room, these walls, these conversations over a glass… those are ending, and that’s not easy to say out loud.

We’re open tomorrow from 2–7pm, with jazz from 3–6pm. Stop in for a glass, take some wine to-go, and please take a free branded wine glass with you (while supplies last). A small piece of this place to keep.

If you’ve ever shared a moment here—thank you for being part of it. I’d love to see you one more time in this space. 💙 🍷

Tomorrow, our tasting room will be closed in solidarity with the National Shutdown and the peaceful protests happening nationwide.

We believe it’s important to pause, listen, and stand with our neighbors, friends, and families who are calling attention to harm being done in our communities.

We’ll reopen the following day (Saturday) for what will sadly be our last day open. Thank you for understanding, and for continuing to support spaces that choose compassion and community.

Eight years ago, we shared our first wines with you — starting in a tiny tasting room and eventually settling into our spot here at 200 Anderson Street. What a ride it’s been!

As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited for the next chapter of Blue Lobster. We’re shifting our focus toward expanding our wholesale presence and continuing to craft the wines and ciders for which we’re known.

While this means closing our space on Anderson Street on January 31st, we’re not going far. We’ll be partnering with another local winery to keep production rolling and leaning fully into the parts of the business that are growing the fastest. You’ll be able to purchase our wines at over 200 Maine retailer partners (and soon many in MA, RI, NH, CT). We hope to offer more in-store tastings and “pop-ups” going forward, allowing you to continue tasting our new offerings.

Most importantly: we’re not going anywhere. We’re evolving, refining, and setting the stage for what’s ahead — including the search for a future space we can eventually call home again.

We remain so thankful to everyone who’s been part of our journey so far. Your support has meant everything, and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
