Three years ago, this was just a way for me to share my mind on LinkedIn. I didn’t think anyone would care about what I had to say. After all, I had been hiding in the shadows of the coffee industry for over 20 years.

But everything changed.

You invited me to your countries to speak on your stages. You hugged me, encouraged me, and gave me work. You introduced yourself at trade shows, you told me to keep going.

Thank you.

My life looks night-and-day different today than it did three years ago and my gratitude for your part in that story is immeasurable.

The truth is, I don’t like social media. Never have. My dad was shocked when I came back to Instagram after ten years.

It’s time to go quiet. Get back to my center. Keep my head down. Keep working. Keep challenging my own beliefs about what I can achieve.

I’ll be lurking. Back into the shadows…

Life has been flowing in wide bends, to and fro from where I had planned. I think strength is in allowing, in staying soft and enjoying the ride with eyes wide open in wonder. May you turn your face toward the sun today, no matter where the flow takes you.
