I'm Jennifer Trezza, founder of Salt+Grit, a boutique consulting studio supporting socially-conscious organizations and women exploring change. I'm based in Portland, Oregon (and I'm from Portland, Maine).

🍂 I'm offering spots at my Whidbey Island Retreat this November. It’s an opportunity for nonprofits and organizations in social good to support professional development and a strategic initiative of your choice.

💛 Social good missions, values, advocacy, and services are beyond necessary, and I want to support the positive impact even further.

🌎 Most of my career has been spent in service of vulnerable populations. During the pandemic, I knew there were thousands of people impacted by immigration orders, hundreds (if not thousands) forced to stay in Mexico to await US asylum hearings. During a time when volunteer programs were paused, I wasn't going to wait for an invitation when the need for support was so high. Instead, I packed up my car in Virginia and mapped a route to Mexico knowing I didn't need permission to help people. I found myself at a refugee shelter in Nogales, Mexico for three months providing humanitarian aid and pro-bono strategy support. My innovative approach to strategy paired with unique life experiences is how Salt+Grit came to be. I help organizations solve for the right problems by identifying insights and challenging assumptions.

This is uninterrupted time and space dedicated to explore, discover, and design for real change. I provide the structure and facilitation, and all the lovely details.

This immersion is limited to twelve women, all logistics are handled, and is followed by three months of post-retreat virtual group coaching for continued support and accountability.

Together we will explore, discover, design, and iterate a roadmap to bring to life.

I'm offering a Social Good Scholarship through October 16th, which reduces the investment by 50%. The interest form and scholarship application are combined and open now. I welcome applications on behalf of a woman and an initiative at your organization, or applications from individuals directly. Personal financial assistance scholarships are also available to applicants.

It’s hard to believe the holidays are less than four months away.

They carry more weight than we anticipate, until we’re in the thick of it. There’s the hosting, the traveling, the family dynamics you brace for every year, the money that goes out faster than it comes in, and the pressure to perform. And for who? Everyone else’s benefit.

By the time January arrives, most women have given away four straight months to other people’s needs, and whatever they intended to figure out for themselves gets pushed into the next year, again.

Let’s stop the cycle. No more performing or just getting through it.
