Here is a bi facial solar array in Standish ME! Unlike what a lot of folks think, modern solar arrays are made of 99% recyclable material! There is no backing plate here, and the internals of the panels are silicone semi conductors. The medical grade silicone can be recycled, the glass too, precious metals, metal in general ETC. Cadmium use to be used which is similar to mercury, especially in being toxic. Panels are no longer made with that technology, and the modern version of today not only cause almost zero negative effect on recycling, besides minimal plastic connectors, and they also make power even if they are covered, by reflecting sunlight off of snow, wet grass, even dry grass. The sunlight is captured on the back side of the panel, hence the name Bi-Facial solar panels. Nautilus is massively responsible, and not only has entire contingencies planned for returning the land back to original state, but they also go above and beyond ensuring the natural wildlife and beauty of Maine stays a top priority for while the panels are on someone’s property as well. Love being able to help people out who are entitled to this discount, who may not be up to date with current technology. In this case I helped switch a few people in a 55+ community, switch developers to Nautilus, simplify the savings, and billing. While also making sure everyone doing this has a full comprehensive understanding of how this program saves you money, and helps the Maine state environmental goals!!
