There have been so many detentions in the Portland area in the past 2 months that the Sanctuary Fund of the Interfaith Movement for Immigrants’ Rights is out of funds. This fund provides critical support to families of detained persons - often those detained are primary wage earners for their families so their families are facing severe financial stress. Many families referred by PIRC for support services receive support from this fund.
