Erickson Air-Crane, a certified AS9100 company, specializes in the operation and manufacture of the Erickson S-64 Aircrane, a versatile and powerful heavy lift helicopter. Our fleet of 17 owned S-64’s and our specialized pilots and crews have provided various aerial services including firefighting, timber harvesting, and infrastructure construction, to government and commercial customers in 16 cou

ntries throughout the world

We also manufacture S-64 Aircranes and related components for sale and provide maintenance repair and overhaul services for the S-64 and other aircraft. Erickson Air-Crane owns the Type and Production certificates for the S-64, granting us exclusive design, manufacturing, and related rights for the aircraft as well as original equipment manufacturing of components. Erickson Air-Crane continues to invest in new technologies and proprietary solutions with the goal of increasing our market share and entering new markets worldwide. Since acquiring the Type Certificate, we have made over 350 design improvements to the S-64, such as our firefighting tank system and snorkel as well as our patented anti rotation rigging system. To date, Erickson Air-Crane has sold S-64 helicopters to the Korea Forest Service, Italian Forest Service, and our first commercial sale customer; San Diego Gas and Electric. Our global headquarters are located in Portland Oregon. Our production maintenance and logistics facilities are located in Central Point Oregon. Erickson Air-Crane currently maintains a year round international presence with subsidiaries in Canada, Italy, and Malaysia as well as a seasonal operating presence in Australia and Greece. 09/28/2011 – Erickson Air-Crane welcomed U.S. Representative Greg Walden (http://walden.house.gov/) and staff for discussions and a short tour of the Central Point Production, Maintenance, and Logistics Facilities. President and CEO Udo Rieder along with Vice President Dave Ford greeted the Congressman and his Staff and engaged in a short period of discussions related to Erickson Air-Crane’s prominent role in fighting the devastating fires in Texas and New Mexico. Further discussions involved how Congressman Walden’s office can support Erickson Air-Crane as the Company continues to engage in worldwide aerial heavy lift and fire suppression markets.
