This is a quick reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 a.m.

At that time, clocks will move forward one hour - from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. As a result, we will lose one hour of sleep that night. Please remember to adjust your clocks before going to bed on Saturday evening so you’re on time for work and scheduled activities on Monday.

🧩 Speed Puzzling & Industry Connections 🧩

On Wednesday the 21st, our team at Journal Graphics had a blast participating in a Speed Puzzling competition organized by our partners at Print Creative Alliance.We had a ton of fun, enjoyed some friendly competition, and loved the chance to socialize with our industry partners and see so many familiar faces.

After 26 years with Journal Graphics, we’re celebrating the retirement of Sales Executive Greg Schroeder.

Throughout his career, Greg has been a dedicated and trusted member of our sales team, building strong relationships and consistently delivering exceptional service. His commitment, deep industry knowledge, and professionalism have made a lasting impact—not only on our company, but on the many customers he’s partnered with over the years.

We are incredibly grateful for Greg’s contributions and the relationships he has built along the way. While he will be greatly missed, we’re excited for him as he begins this well-earned next chapter.

🎄✨ Holiday Door Décor at Journal Graphics ✨🎄

Last Friday, we celebrated the 3rd event of our December holiday series, “Triple Friday, Triple Cheer,” with our annual Holiday Door Décor contest—and our team truly outdid themselves this year!

Each department transformed their doors to represent a holiday theme, filling our office with creativity, color, and plenty of festive cheer. Employees voted for the most creative and holiday-spirited department by placing candy canes into designated voting stockings located by each team’s door 🍬🧦.

🎉 Congratulations to our Sales Department for taking 1st place with their fun and festive “Elf” movie–themed door!

👏 Honorable mentions go to:

- Customer Service for their mischievous Grinch décor

- Finance for their clever Home Alone theme

- Mailing for their beautifully festive Christmas display

🎄🍪 Holiday Bake-Off Recap at Journal Graphics! 🍰🎄

Last Friday the 12th, Journal Graphics celebrated the second event of our “Triple Friday, Triple Cheer” December festivities with a delicious Holiday Bake-Off!

Our team truly showed off their baking talents—tables were filled with cookies, cakes, pies, savory hot dog rolls, and even an impressive display of hand-made, holiday-themed cake pops arranged on a foam Christmas tree 🎂✨

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and shared their creations. The creativity, teamwork, and great flavors made this event a big success—and yes, it was all delicious!

🎄 Triple Fridays, Triple Cheer: Week 1 Recap! 🎄

Last Friday at noon, we kicked off our December Holiday celebration with our 1st Annual Holiday Sweater Contest — and wow, did Team Journal Graphics deliver! 💥

We had an incredible turnout with teammates showing up in full festive spirit. From sweaters with lights, props, and sparkles to full holiday-inspired outfits, the creativity was off the charts. We even had puppies rocking their own holiday sweaters — and yes, they absolutely stole our hearts. 🐶❤️✨

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event such a fun and cheerful start to Triple Fridays, Triple Cheer.

🎃 Spooky season at Journal Graphics! 👻

Our team had a fang-tastic time celebrating Halloween this year! From creative costumes and office decorations to a pizza party and plenty of candy bowls, we turned the office into a festive haunt. 🕸️🍕🍬

It was all treats (no tricks!) as our crew showed off their Halloween spirit and teamwork — reminding us that great things happen when creativity and fun come together. 💀🖤

🎉 Celebrating the Retirement of a Journal Graphics Legend: Mike Giacchero 🎉

Yesterday, we had the bittersweet honor of surprising our long-time Press Room Manager, Mike Giacchero, with a well-deserved retirement celebration.

Mike joined Journal Graphics in 1995, coming on board to help launch our commercial printing endeavor—and what a difference he made. From installing the M500, double web S2000, and M600 presses (all still running strong today!) to stabilizing press chemistry and ensuring top-notch quality across every job, Mike’s expertise and dedication set the standard for excellence.

Over the years, he’s worked every shift imaginable—days, nights, and swing—always stepping up wherever needed. As Press Room Manager, Mike shaped the role into what it is today, earning the respect and admiration of everyone in the plant and every vendor he’s partnered with. His deep historical knowledge of printing and of Journal Graphics itself is truly invaluable.

At his surprise send-off, the production crew came together to share food, drinks, and plenty of stories from decades of printing challenges and triumphs.

Mike, thank you for 30 incredible years of service, leadership, and heart. We’ll miss you deeply—but we wish you all the best in your well-earned retirement! 💙

Recap: Travel & Words Conference 2025 - Part 1

We had an incredible time at the Travel and Words Conference, hosted in Medford, Oregon on September 21-23, 2025!

As the main sponsor of this multi-faceted event for travel journalists and Northwest destinations, Journal Graphics was honored to support such a meaningful gathering of storytellers and destination marketing professionals.

A big thank you to Premier Media Group and Northwest Travel & Life Magazine for the invitation and for putting together such a well-organized, impactful event. Thank you also to Travel Medford for showing us all there is to know about a little town with A LOT to do! (EdenVale Winery and Table Rock Ranch & Vineyard).

The conference was a great success — not only did we get to celebrate the beauty and stories of the Northwest, but we also had the rare opportunity to connect face-to-face with the incredible destination marketing agencies. Building those in-person relationships was invaluable!
