Our final stop in Rome was at the MAXXI Museum: the National Center
for Contemporary Art and Architecture. Zaha Hadid won an international competition in 1998 at this former military barracks site. Construction began in 2003 and the museum officially opened in 2010.

The church of Santa Maria della Pieve, in Arezzo. Located on the significantly sloped Piazza Grande, the facade contains many unique architectural elements. One of our favorites is the “bent” column. There are many theories about the meaning, but we like to think it may just be 12th century architectural humor 🤔😉😆

We are excited to share the most recent progress photos of our Laurelhurst Park ADU. The ADU is nestled in this beautifully landscaped backyard oasis. The new house is sited in close proximity to the existing garden pavilion for outdoor living en plein air.

We recently wrapped up this kitchen project in the Laurelhurst neighborhood. Without increasing the original kitchen footprint, we enlarged the connection between kitchen and family room; allowing for better interaction and flow. Swipe ➡️ for BEFORE.

Framing at our Laurelhurst Park ADU is nearing completion. Vaulted ceilings and thoughtfully placed openings maximize natural light, volume and views of the park while preserving the beautifully landscaped lot.

Our Laurelhurst Park ADU is taking shape: an oasis nestled in the beautiful garden on this oversized lot. Fun fact: the original house was built for the Franz bakery family.
