Come work for White Spider Rental Concierge and start as one of our stagers where you’ll independently contract yourself to clean our short and long term rental homes in and around the Portland area! We are a female owned and (mostly) female operated company which celebrates diversity and inclusivity in all that we do.
White Spider calls our cleaners ‘Stagers’ due to the eye for detail and design we insist all contracted employees practice alongside the basic cleaning requirements set. We work with the Air BnB platform for guest bookings and do not typically offer residential cleanings. Stagers are given a maximum of 5 hours to finish each normal guest clean so be prepared to prioritize and communicate any needs which may arise. Our shift timeframes coincide with guest check in and check out times which are between the hours of 11am-5pm.
All new hires will be paid $18 per hour over the course of two to three days while they train alongside one of our skilled stagers or staging managers. After this, new hires will begin to work independently choosing shifts they want to work through our scheduling app. Management will quality check every clean they possibly can and continue to follow up with constructive feedback for anywhere between 2-6 months depending on how often shifts are worked.
Each home has a pre decided flat rate payout which averages about $25-$30 per hour depending the home’s size and amenities. All stagers will download and use our scheduling app “Sub It Up” to choose which shifts best suit their schedule, then management will approve each shift on a first come first served basis.
White Spider offers a myriad of opportunities to make extra money outside of staging our homes for guests. We offer the opportunity to help with deliveries throughout the week, initial cleans when we onboard new homes, hot tub and pool cleaning, and seasonal deep cleans for each of our homes inside and out. Payout for all initial and seasonal cleans is set at $25 an hour.
Communication with the team via email is an important part of the job. Stagers will be required to be timely in all reports and responses throughout their shift and beyond so please, be prepared.
All stagers are required to have a vehicle of their own, a smartphone, general understanding of apps and website navigation, their own vacuum, mop, broom, cleaning supplies, and to carry and be responsible for a small amount of inventory supplied by the company for stocking the home to our standard. Anything purchased for the job is tax deductible.
We are typically busiest in the summertime, on and around all holidays, and weekly Thursday through Monday. Our homes are all impeccably designed and generally lightly used. We ask that all of our stagers be willing to work a minimum of 4 days per month and any Sunday or Monday they are able as these days tend to be our busiest.
We ask that our stagers keep a few tools handy to help fix small maintenance issues where they are comfortable and capable. A screw driver, measuring tape, pliers, and drain snake are good examples of what is often needed. Stagers are often rehanging a picture, tightening a toilet seat or chair leg, or securing door hinge screws where they may have come loose, etc.. Nothing typically very major. **All maintenance needs or damages will need to be thoroughly reported before any attempt at fixing**
