Earthbound Baby Birth Photography I'm a photographer striving to capture the most beautiful and moving details and moments through the labor and birth process for women and their new babes.

As a photographer, captivated observer of life, a woman, and a mother.. my most accomplished and beautiful work has been to capture a woman giving to the light. Someone's first breaths, first moments of life.. being embraced with love and joy. The true strength of a woman. There are some moments that cannot just be explained, moments t

hat quick snapshots from tearful loved ones and cellphone pictures cannot touch, that's where I come in. The choice of birth photography is a large commitment for a photographer. Birth is completely unpredictable. After our in person meet and talking over your plan, your vision, what you'd like from these photos, getting to know each other a bit; I'm officially ONCALL 24 hours a day from 38 Weeks until you give birth! Depending on your wishes, and whether you're having a hospital, birth center, or home birth I will show up during active labor and stay till after 1-2 hrs post birth. Capturing the littlest details, and the biggest moments. Or for those whom either have things move unexpectedly where I cannot attend the birth, including c sections.. also for mothers wanting privacy for their experience, I can be available for a special "Fresh 48" package to arrive post birth to still be able to capture the newest freshest little face around and meeting family. This birth was one for the books! The anticipation for his arrival was like watching a clock.. but man oh man when it was time for him to arrive.. Mama was a pure birth warrior and growled her way through only an hour or so of active labor to woosh him into this world. Emmet came out so fast he had bruises on his ears! This birth via birth center and a birthing tub was so unbelievably peaceful and amazing.

Looking at these photos brings me right back to the emotions every time. I felt I had done my best to be as professional minded as possible shooting the birth of my niece, but that moment my bestfriend looked up at me I lost it, my eyes were filled with tears after that. So beautiful. Watching her go with the flow when her birth plan got suddenly changed up, tear up and work through the pain, watching her become a mama all over again.. sigh:)
