𝗡𝗘𝗪 - 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗶 - Time to get ready for summer. You have been previously introduced to ⁠our Shibori line in Aqua and this is our Navy version of this terrific tie-dye. ⁠ ⁠

Tie-dyeing has evolved in various cultures around the world, and can be seen on fabrics made thousands of years ago from Africa to China, and around Asia. It entered Japan at least 1300 years ago from China. The basic technique of Shibori is to draw a design on a piece of fabric (usually silk or cotton), then to tie very tight knots of thread around different points of the fabric. The material⁠ is then dyed. The dye does not pe*****te the knots, so when untied there is a pattern of dyed and undyed areas. This can be repeated many times to produce patterns of various colors.⁠ Shibori was originally an art of the poor. Many people could not afford to buy expensive fabrics like cotton or silk in feudal Japan, so clothes were often made of cheap h**p fabrics. People could not afford to replace clothes regularly, so they would repair and redye them, and the art of Shibori evolved as a means of making old clothes new again. Our Shibori is brand new! I will be providing creative services for homeowners, event companies and anyone that might be in a creative crisis!
