I’ve been thinking about what I mean when I talk about systems.
It may seem like I’m talking tech, and that would be somewhat true. Your platforms and how they operate is huge. But, a resource is best used when the intention and outcome are clear.
Another way I could put it is that I’m considering the ecosystem of your business.
Your tools and tech are a part of your systems.
Your policies and procedures are a part of your systems.
Your strategy, intention, and connection with every person inside and outside of your business is a part of your systems.
Your team members are a part of your systems.
Your energy and how scattered, centralized or holistic it may be is. a. part. of. your. systems.
This is why upgrading a platform, bringing on a new team member, or creating a new offering may not accomplish what you hoped. Or, why your objectively successful business still feels -off-.
I made this little venn diagram to showcase where my mind is when I’m working with any of my clients, and why my approach, even if it’s tech-heavy, is so impactful.
I invite you to leverage this as a self audit for your own business - where are the gaps you’re feeling? What might be contributing to that weight in the delicate and distinct web of systems specific to your org?
