Earlier this week was the grand finale for the Maine Center for Entrepreneurs "Top Gun" program. A great deal of work goes into putting any event together, and I want to recognize Terry Johnson, Laurie Johnson, and everyone behind the scenes who made these past few months possible.

I was fortunate to spend the last few months mentoring one of the program contestants—Elizabeth Carroll. She is the author of It's a Fiddlehead Life for Me, a children's book, a company launch, and a lifestyle movement. She's also a teacher, a mother, an author, and an entrepreneur at heart.

Thank you, Elizabeth! I was incredibly proud to see you on that stage. Congratulations to all the finalists who were brave, passionate, and determined enough to make it there!
