Fun Fact Friday: Did You Know?
The Post Santa Fe Depot is more than just a historic building, it’s a piece of the story that helped shape our community!

After founding Post City in 1907, cereal manufacturer Charles William Post worked to bring the railroad to town. In 1910, the Santa Fe Railroad laid tracks in Post, and the following year the Post Santa Fe Depot was built.

Designed by noted architect Louis Curtiss, the depot was constructed with reinforced concrete and terra cotta tiles and is one of the few Curtiss-designed depots still standing in the United States.

Today, this historic landmark stands as a reminder of Post’s early economic growth, innovation, and the important role transportation played in building our community.

Our heritage is what makes Post unique and sharing these stories helps keep our history alive for generations to come.
