Backwoods Taxidermy Backwoods Taxidermy is a full time studio located between Potsdam and Canton.

We are a full service studio mounting deerheads, gameheads, lifesize mounts, bird, fish, rugs, European mounts, and novelty mounts. I have been in the taxidermy industry since 2001 and use the most up to date forms, products, and taxidermy practices.

Hey everyone, sorry for being a bit absent on here! Spring and early summer is always rather hectic, between farm projects, our mini highland herd and spring calving, camp projects, the shop, and everyday life, time flies! We’ve still been going full steam in the shop, pushing to get everyone’s mounts back!!
