INFO For everyone coming up to play in our beautiful forest.

🚧 M6 Road Closed for Repairs 🚧

A segment of the M6 Road has a temporary closure from the M6/M61 junction to Rattlesnake Creek on the Upper Lake Ranger District. The closure is due to a failed culvert that is undergoing emergency repairs.

⚠️Road conditions on the forest are dynamic, especially given the post-fire hazards and storm damage. Downed trees are possible on any roads within the forest, regardless of the time of year, but particularly during and after storms and wind events.

On Thursday, May 28, representatives from local and state agencies gathered for the Lake Operational Area Seasonal Coordination Briefing. The meeting brought together key partners to review fire risk, weather outlook, and coordination priorities heading into the season.

These briefings are part of a continued, coordinated effort across agencies to prepare ahead of wildfire season: aligning plans and ensuring everyone is working together before conditions change.

Well Howdy All !!

Its been a little bit since we last posted 😬

We here at Lake Pillsbury Fire hope everyone is doing fantastic!!

Its been a busy couple months. Our department has been updating all of our certifications and working on our equipment to have the fastest response times possible!

Now that the weather is better and spring is around the corner. We expect to start seeing more faces in the basin!!

#2 Have you ever wanted to be a Firefighter? Have you ever wanted to help a community but didn't know how to do so? Well it just so happens that Lake Pillsbury Fire is ALWAYS looking for new Volunteers to help us thrive!! Dont get us wrong. Some times the physical aspects aren't for everyone. But we would also appreciate the help in trying for grants for new equipment!! Maybe something like this is right up your alley?!

Either way, if you have any interest in helping the community and the Department, please reach out!!

Good morning, everyone!!

Its a gorgeous day in the Lake Pillsbury basin. One of our Firefighters just took a picture of Hull with snow on the top. It looks like winter has arrived. Get ready for the cold!

We do have some unfortunate news that has rocked our little community. The Soda Creek Store has closed down without any current, future date of reopening. 😟

We ask when you come up to enjoy this beautiful area. Please, make sure your vehicles are full of fuel and you have all the snacks you need for your adventure.

Your last stops for diesel are in Upper Lake or in Ukiah.

Your last stops for Gasoline are also Upper Lake, Ukiah or in Potter Valley ( Hoppers Corner store hours apply).

Also, if you haven't had the chance. Please click on our previously posted link and send a quick letter to keep our damns in place and our lake intack. Without Lake Pillsbury, Lake Mendocino, parts of the Eel River and the Russian River WILL go dry.
