A little update on our new studio...

We're still a few more months away from the finish line, but every week brings us one step closer. This photo is a peek at the exterior, with a little AI magic to help envision the landscaping that's still to come.

For now, the inside remains under wraps. Behind the scenes, work continues with finish carpentry, custom details, and all of the beautiful finishing touches that transform a building into something truly special. As anyone who's built or renovated knows, it's those final layers that take the most time—and they're absolutely worth the wait.

One thing we haven't shared yet is the name of our new studio: The Daisy. Inspired by our beloved four-legged mascot, the name felt like the perfect fit for a space designed to bring people together—a place for creativity, collaboration, and meaningful conversations about home.

Once the dust settles and every last detail is in place, we'll officially make the move.

We can't wait to open the door and welcome our incredible clients, trade partners, and friends into the space. Thank you for following along on this journey. It's truly been a labor of love, and we're so excited to share the finished studio with you this fall.

Some of the best design lessons aren’t found in a studio, classroom, or office. They’re discovered while wandering unfamiliar streets, studying places shaped by history, and seeing the world through fresh eyes.

Italy, Florence and Rome, was the perfect location to test this theory with Lauren as she pursues graduate studies in Architecture this fall at the .

Travel has a way of recharging the mind. It challenges us to see differently, think differently, and return home with fresh perspective. Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is step away from our work long enough to be inspired by something entirely new.

Did you know...The history of decoys evolved from ancient hunting tools used by Native Americans and Egyptians to functional folk art in 19th-century North America (wooden carvings for market hunting), later transitioning into prized collectibles and fine art after WWII?

My father-in-law has been making and collecting decoys for waterfowl hunting for over 60 years. Recently, my daughter Lauren, was able to spend time learning the craft. She spent multiple weekends with my FIL, sharing stories and the love and art and wood carving.

The end result is this beautiful, green-winged teal decoy. Lauren carved and painted it as part of a portfolio she has prepared for grad school. Her sea trial last week proved it's ready for duty.

Hello, 2026!

As we step into a new year—and our 10th year in business—we’re patiently (and excitedly) awaiting the completion of our new design studio. This project has truly been a labor of love: built with blood, sweat, tears, savings, and a dream that began when I returned to school in 2014 and welcomed my first client in 2016.

We cannot wait to open this space to fellow creatives, clients, vendors, and friends. Fingers (and toes) crossed, we hope to officially cut the ribbon and hang our shingle this spring.

Endless gratitude to my husband for unwavering support, our daughters for cheering me on, family and friends for sharing our name, my design tribe for constant love and encouragement, vendor partners who trusted our vision and opened our studio to new opportunities, and the incredible trades and skilled craftspeople—without whom none of this would be possible. You elevate every idea beyond what’s imagined and drawn. Finally, our wonderful client base, who trusted our vision and allowed us to tell their design story. We are so grateful!

It truly takes a village to run a design firm, and I’m beyond grateful to call design my purpose and this our new home away from home.

Until then, enjoy a sneak peek of the exterior renderings. Our studio and showroom door is on the right 🙂
