Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed to protect them. We are incredibly grateful to call this country home.

As hunters and outdoorsmen, we understand the importance of preserving traditions, respecting wildlife, and passing our heritage on to the next generation. Thank you to our amazing customers for trusting us to preserve your memories and trophies year after year.

Jarvie is home now and resting. We want to thank everyone for the prayers, messages, and the support you’ve shown our family this week as Jarvie underwent an unexpected spinal surgery.

His recovery will be our main focus over the coming weeks, and we appreciate everyone’s patience during this time.

For customers who currently have work with us, please know that your mounts remain important to us. While some timelines may be adjusted as Jarvie recovers, we have a plan and we are committed to completing the work in a timely manner. We will continue providing updates as needed. If you are making payments please continue to do so that way when he recovers and gets to your mount there will be no further delays.

At this time, we are still not accepting new work but plan to resume taking in mounts in September as the Kentucky season opens.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support of our customers, friends, and family. Thank you for supporting our small family business and for keeping Jarvie in your thoughts and prayers during his recovery.

Who’s headed to Southwest Virginia this fall? The 2026 Virginia Elk Hunt Lottery winners have been selected, and we’re excited to congratulate this year’s hunters. Watch NOW ➡️ Link in comments!

In case you didn't know, all revenue generated through this lottery and hunt goes to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources’ general fund to be used for management and conservation of all wildlife.

If you weren't selected, there's still one more opportunity to win an elk tag! Each year, DWR awards one elk tag to a conservation partner to raffle off, and this year's tag will go to SWVA Sportsmen. Learn how to enter their raffle for another chance to join the hunt at the link in the comments.

The 5th Annual Virginia Elk Hunt will take place October 10–16, 2026. Stay tuned this fall for updates and harvest results. Thank you to everyone who applied, and congratulations to our winners!

Gabe also competed at the Virginia Taxidermist Association’s Convention & Competition this past weekend. He competed in the Professional Division with a deer he took this past hunting season. We are very proud of the taxidermist that he is becoming.

He won 1st place Best of Category Whitetail
Pro-1 Professional Award
Best Youth Whitetail
Youth Future Taxidermist award for highest scoring youth
Maria Jeffers Memorial Award for best youth entry with a habitat
VTA Board Choice Award.
