I love all of John Maxwell's books and the golden nuggets on every single page.

I was struck by Principle #3 of ๐™๐™๐™š ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ ๐™„๐™ฃ๐™ซ๐™–๐™ก๐™ช๐™–๐™—๐™ก๐™š ๐™‡๐™–๐™ฌ๐™จ ๐™ค๐™› ๐™‚๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฌ๐™ฉ๐™ requiring a pesonal COMMITMENT to growth as a foundational element.

We can't expect anything great in our lives to happen without us first COMMITTING to it.

Setting our intention and follow through come naturally AFTER the commitment is made.

HR leaders-are you frustrated with the status quo?

I get it.

You're a smart, competent woman in HR who has gotten to where you are based on hard work and determination but things seemed to have stalled.

You're frustrated with your boss.

You're overwhelmed with your workload.

And beginning to burn out.

The good news is you don't have to wait for permission to get support.

It's time to take charge and start believing that you deserve the best.

It's time to be start incorporating your passions into your daily activities.

It's time to show up differently so everybody sees and appreciates your value.

When I first started my career as a HR manager with a Dept-of-One, I struggled with a never ending to do list, uncertainty and doubt and unrealistic expectations I put on myself.

I heard from so many people that I had to "brush up on my business acumen" and "be more strategic" but what did that even mean.

So after a lot of trial and error and learning about the business I was in, I figured it out.

It took me much longer than I care to admit, but I finally figured out HOW to be more strategic in my role.

And it all starts with creating a HR department vision.

A vision statement that specifically fulfills the needs of the organization, clearly describes success and inspires you for the next 12 months.
