Research shows that children benefit from connections to nature during times of trauma. But right now, many families have limited to no access to the natural world. Our work may look different in the coming months, but connecting children to the benefits of nature is more critical now than ever.

To support efforts to keep children, especially the most vulnerable, both physically and mentally healthy, the Children & Nature Network launched a new website:

The site will be updated weekly with resources, tips, tools, blogs and webinars designed to help children and families stay connected to the natural world during this stressful time.

The Ceanothus (California Lilac) are in full bloom out in Poway! If you haven’t been to Sycamore Canyon Open Space Reserve I highly recommend it- especially now with so many plants in bloom! Remember to leave only your footprints and take only photos though - it’s a preserve! @ Sycamore Canyon Open Space Preserve
