🧬 Back to the basics: What is an epitope?
An epitope is the specific region of an antigen that is recognized by an antibody.
Why does that matter?
When developing or selecting an antibody, understanding the target epitope can influence specificity, binding, and ultimately how well that antibody performs in your intended application.
Sometimes, a very small part of a protein can make a very big difference.
