Building a better pest control company takes more than working harder.

Recently, the owners of Critter Wranglers stepped away from the day to day demands of running the business to spend time with other pest and wildlife business owners in a mastermind group.

The group shared challenges, questioned existing approaches, exchanged ideas and worked through opportunities for improvement. Despite differences in company size, many of the challenges of running a pest control business are surprisingly similar.

At Critter Wranglers, the commitment to improvement goes beyond pest control methods. It includes customer service, employee development, leadership and building better systems to support a growing team.

The goal isn't simply to build a bigger company. It's to build a better one, with a stronger team and a higher level of service for the customers who trust Critter Wranglers with their homes and businesses.

A Little Appreciation for the Work Nobody Sees

A lot of what makes a pest control company good happens after the truck leaves.

It's the extra questions answered, the pictures and notes shared, the technician calling a teammate for advice, or taking a few extra minutes to explain what they found.

Those little things may not always make it into a review, but they make a big difference to our customers.

I appreciate the heck out of the people on this team who consistently do the little things right.

That's what great service is built on.

Sometimes the biggest rodent problems start with something that was simply overlooked.

These photos show a hole in the exterior wall of an Oak Ridge home that was left behind from a previous HVAC unit. Over time, rodents found it and started using that opening to get inside the structure.

Our pest and wildlife control teams removed the problem and properly sealed the opening, closing off the access point rodents had been exploiting.

This is why good rodent control is about more than setting traps or putting out bait. You have to find out how they're getting inside and address the entry points.

One small opening can be all it takes.

Serving Oak Ridge, Knoxville and East Tennessee with rodent control and wildlife exclusion.
