We love hearing directly from customers when one of our technicians gets it right.

Joe recently left us a great review after Branson started working on his mouse problem. His words were simple: “Branson is the best.” He also described Branson as competent and an expert in his field, and said his approach is already making a difference.

That's exactly what we want our customers to experience.

Rodent problems can be frustrating, especially when mice keep finding their way into a home. It takes more than putting out a few traps. Finding the problem, understanding how the rodents are getting in, and putting together a plan that actually works is what good rodent control is about.

Great work, Branson. And thank you, Joe, for taking the time to recognize him!

September may be here, but the ant calls haven’t stopped in Knoxville.

This is exactly what we’re seeing right now. Ants are trailing in from outside and finding tiny openings around windows, doors and other entry points to get inside.

That trail across the window sash isn’t random. They’re following a scent trail left by other ants and taking advantage of an easy way into the house.

If you’re still seeing ants inside, don’t assume the season is over. September can still be a busy month for ant activity in East Tennessee.

The goal isn’t just to kill the ants you see. It’s figuring out where they’re coming from and why they’re getting inside in the first place.

We've been finding a surprising number of wildlife entry points at the ridge of the roof.

Vented ridge caps are designed to ventilate the attic, but when there's an opening large enough, wildlife doesn't care what the vent was designed for.

We've found mice, rats, flying squirrels, gray squirrels, birds and bats using vulnerable ridge vents to get into attics around the Knoxville area.

The tricky part is that these entry points can be easy to overlook. From the ground, everything can look perfectly normal while an animal has figured out how to get underneath the vent and into the attic.

We're now seeing more situations where the best solution is to reinforce the ridge vent itself with a heavy duty exclusion barrier that still allows the roof to breathe while keeping wildlife out.

It's a great example of why good wildlife control isn't just about removing the animal. You have to figure out how it got in.

If you're hearing scratching in the attic, finding droppings, or dealing with recurring rodent or wildlife problems, let us take a look at the roofline. The entry point may be somewhere you never thought to check.

⭐ A Shoutout to Nik! ⭐

We got a great message from a customer yesterday about Nik.

They said he did a great job, was extremely professional, and took care of everything they needed.

There was just one small complication. Nik got into a very active yellow jacket nest and the customer thought he was getting stung while working the job. He was even answering a phone call from Matt while dealing with the yellow jackets, and still got the job taken care of.

The customer must have extremely pretty happy because they tipped him pretty well for his efforts.

Pest control doesn't always go according to plan, but our technicians show up ready to solve problems and take care of the customer.

Nice work, Nik. Just try not to make getting stung part of the standard service package!

Unfortunately, this possum didn’t make it. It died inside the client’s HVAC unit.

Dead animal removals are never fun, but they’re important.

The homeowner had an awful smell coming from their ductwork and had already contacted their HVAC company. They couldn’t get the system back into service until the animal was removed and the affected area was cleaned.

This was all happening during 90+ degree heat. Luckily, the home was just over in Karns and we were able to respond quickly.

To make matters worse, flies were coming through the vents and into the home.

Not exactly the kind of wildlife problem anyone wants to deal with, but getting the animal out, addressing the source of the odor and helping the homeowner get their HVAC system back in service was important.

Some wildlife jobs are pretty. Some definitely aren’t.

We handle both.
