YOU GUYS!!!! I am not a Powhatan Native (although, I wish I were). I have heard so much talk over the past 3 years about the Powhatan Christmas Mother but, I HAD NO IDEA what she actually does - and boy is it A LOT.

This past week we had the honor of visiting a new Powhatan business- Bodywork Medicine. Terrie Spell is the owner and she is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all different types of massage, fascia, and lymphedema therapies. Head over to her page to book your relaxation time!

This week we met with Suzanne Paul, Nurse Practitioner with Thrive Health and Wellness!

This is an AMAZING service! Suzanne comes to you! She is extremely passionate about making people feel better! But, it starts with you… you have to be willing to take ownership of your health and really do the works that’s involved in getting healthy and feeling better. There is no magic pill unfortunately, but Suzanne will help you get to the root of the problem, when other people in the medical profession may not have the time or desire to really dig in and get to the root of the cause!

This week we visited with Robyn Molo of Robyn Molo Aesthetics. Robin specializes in all things aesthetics! I was thrilled to sit down with her and listen to her knowledge about which of her services I would benefit from the most. She truly is a master of her craft and I for one am sooooo excited to have her here locally in Powhatan! Schedule a consult with her to see what she has that can benefit YOU!

We got to meet with the owners of Cafe last week! They were so kind! They make their smoothies from scratch. No powdered ingredients here, only fresh fruit! Take a break from the heat, stop by and get a wonderful, healthy smoothie, all while supporting one of our small, local businesses!

Heather and I met with Latesha and Joe with J & L Seafood! If you happen to know me personally, you know that SEAFOOD IS MY THING and this place did not disappoint! They have such a variety and I will definitely be going to wherever they are every weekend so I can get my fill!!🐠🍤🦀

J & L will be back in Powhatan this coming weekend set up by the Washbox.

This week we met with Alex Jinks of Jinks Towing & Heavy Wrecker Inc. Powhatan Location . This guy is a top notch guy! He is looking forward to being an active member of the Powhatan Community and helping out wherever he can. Don’t miss their GRAND OPENING this coming Saturday, June 15! It’s sure to be a great time!

Happy Thursday everyone! I know I always introduce myself as Denise Counts , Mortgage Loan Officer with American Pacific Mortgage but…. That’s not all I do… I actually opened up a daycare center in Western Powhatan about 8 months ago! I had a hard time deciding whether or not to make this post on this page because we want to make this page about our local businesses and hometown events.. not really ourselves.. however, I do know that people are often looking for childcare and employment and I happen to have spots for both available… so I though I would share here as well!!

Today we visited Double D's BBQ Shack.

What an interesting story they had! Dustin started working at a commercial BBQ restaurant in his teens and fell in love with it! Dustin and Sherrie have done BBQ competitions - and take it from me - when you eat their food -- YOU CAN TELL!!! They moved on from the competitions to have their very own food truck!!!

Today we visited The Mercantile at Three Crosses . Located right next to Three Crosses Distilling Company. What a COOL Store.. we asked them to define what they specialize in - their answer was "Garden, Home and Gift" and truly, they couldn't have been more spot on! I had a blast looking around in there as you can tell from the amount of pictures.

This Saturday they are hosting a Flower Extravaganza, not only will there be flowers but EVERYTHING in the store relating to flower is on sale!

C'mon on in to SIP, SAVOR and SHOP! 😁

Please keep the The Mercantile at Three Crosses in mind, not only is this an amazing, locally owned store but they have the coolest Home Decor. Mothers Day and Fathers Day should be a breeze this year with great gifts ideas for both! I have already texted a picture list to my husband for Mothers Day gifts!! 😬
