FOR SALE!
VINTAGE 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb! $4995
The real deal, a closet find for sure. Brought to me by a client to have it checked out and now a consignment sale. This is in truly original and amazing condition. The only non original parts I can detect are the power transformer, which has a date code of 1970, and I believe was replaced many, many years ago. Also replaced (by me) is the bias supply filter cap, the pilot lamp, and the fuse. Everything else absolutely original as far as I can tell. This amp has been serviced and is working perfectly, very quiet, sounds amazing. At some point somebody connected a wire from one side of the 6.3 VAC to ground. Don't ask me why, maybe they thought they were elevation the center tap or something. This would cause the fuse to blow immediately. And I suspect after that blunder it went into the closet to be uncovered many years later. I would certainly recommend the proper installation of a three wire AC cord for safety (and other upgrades like new electrolytics). This is in collectible condition and I want all those decisions to be made by the new owner. The link below will take you to a folder with lots of hi resolution photos, including photos of the cabinet I took outside. Full disclosure, nothing to hide on this beauty. Also one short video of the amp in use. Serious buyers (no tire kickers) please contact me at [email protected] or 804-592-0181 to set up an appointment to see this amplifier.
