We're giving away free 18-gallon recycling bins to make it easier for you to collect your recyclables and bring them to our recycling center!

The bin comes with a lid and is perfect for residents who do not have curbside recycling service and instead use a recycling drop-off location.

Come get your free recycling bin on Monday, June 22nd at our recycling center (11398 Bond Road, Prairie Grove) from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm!

Can't make that time? Recycling bins are available at our office Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Recycling bins are also available during our monthly rural recycling drop-offs in Elkins, Goshen, and Winslow.

Do you have an old car seat or broken storage tote taking up space in your garage? Bring them to us for recycling! From here, we will take them to Ecotech Consumer Products in Fayetteville. They will then be recycled into dog food bowls, luggage, Easter and Halloween baskets, trash cans, and other recycled plastic items, which you can find at Wal-Mart!

Thanks to residents, we have recycled over 8 tons of car seats and storage totes since starting the program in the spring of 2023.

We will also be collecting car seats at the Fayetteville Police Department's Car Seat Event at the NWA Mall on June 30th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm!

Drop them off at our mobile HHW drop off at 1409 S Happy Hollow Road in Fayetteville, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am-12:30pm or come to our main office at 11398 Bond Road in Prairie Grove.

Happy World Environment Day!

World Environment Day is always on June 5th. The campaign comes from the United Nations Environment Programme and encourages worldwide awareness and action for protecting the environment.

This year's theme is Climate Action. The theme focuses on the need for immediate, systemic solutions like cutting greenhouse gas emissions, protecting natural ecosystems, and transitioning to clean energy.

Using less and disposing wisely are key ways to take climate action. Only buy it if you really need it - buy items with less packaging - recycle what you can - compost your food waste!

Our recycling center in Prairie Grove and the Springdale recycling center accept plastic bottles, aluminum and steel cans, glass bottles and jars, paper, and cardboard, but that's just the beginning.
