At Sirna Brothers, we’ve hauled away a lot of unusual things over the years… but today might be the first time we’re actually encouraging people to put something ON their fridge instead of taking it away. 😄

Believe it or not, today is officially Put a Pillow on Your Fridge Day — a quirky tradition that’s supposed to bring good luck, prosperity, and positive energy into your home.

As strange as it sounds, the tradition actually dates back to the early 1900s. Families would place cloth or linens from their bedroom into their pantry or “larder” as a symbol of abundance and good fortune. Over time, pantries became refrigerators… and somehow the cloth turned into a pillow.

Honestly, we kind of love weird traditions like this.

Life gets busy. Houses get cluttered. Garages fill up. Basements become mystery zones. Sometimes you just need something random and fun to break up the routine heading into the weekend.
