PL community: our drought continues to deepen - all of Autauga Co is now in at least a severe drought. Parts of western Autauga Co are in an extreme drought. Even with the unsettled conditions and rain expected this weekend and coming week, it will not be enough to break this drought. It will require a tropical system. This could lead to a hot and dangerously dry summer. Please don’t burn. The entire state remains under a Fire Alert.

To see or report current drought impacts, please visit the Drought Impacts Toolkit, where you can find impacts from media in the Drought Impact Reporter and from citizen scientists and other volunteer observers under Condition Monitoring Observations.
