The lost wax bronze casting process is both intricate and fascinating. It begins with creating a mold from the original sculpture, followed by a wax pattern made from that mold. The wax then goes through detailed touch-up work and gating before multiple layers of ceramic shell investment are applied. Once complete, the wax is melted out, molten bronze is poured in, and the metal finishing process begins. The final stage is the beautiful patina that brings the sculpture to life.
An incredible amount of craftsmanship goes into every limited edition bronze sculpture. Pictured here are Chris Deverill’s whimsical rabbits in various stages of creation. Visit www.bronzesmith.com to explore more of his wonderful work.

One of my favorite Kush sculptures is "Aries the Sheep". A collaboration between father and son,“Aries the Sheep” Written and illustrated by Vladimir Kush and his father Oleg Kush. " One lonely evening, the sheep left the stable and went to the seashore to see the sunset. "The sunset is so magnificent, but he never teases," the sheep realized. "Maybe, he would want to become my friend." But as Aries arrived at the seashore, the sunset dipped quickly behing the horizon in the directon where there seems to be a hole in the sea. "Story of Aries The Sheep" The story of magical transformation for both children and adults. This limited-edition bronze is available in two sizes. Visit www.bronzesmith.com to see all of Kush's bronze creations. We're stopped by our upstairs gallery at Bronzesmith in Prescott Valley Arizona

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. It is a day of reflection, gratitude, and respect for the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we cherish every day. As we gather with family and friends, may we also pause to remember the true meaning of this important holiday and the heroes who will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸
