Good riddance, monsoon season.

It was a hard one on the network. Lightning, a regional fiber cut, and more storm outages than any of us wanted. Thank you for sticking with us through it.

Fall is when our crews get to do the work that makes next summer better, and that's where our time is going.

Service is restored

The fiber splice is finished and service has been stable for the past hour. We held off posting until we were confident it would hold.

If you're still down, power cycle your router first. If that doesn't do it, call us at (928) 493-4420.

This one was out of our hands, but that doesn't make a day without internet any easier. Thanks for your patience today.

Outage update

Good progress. The replacement fiber is in the ground and crews are prepping it for splicing now. Splicing the traffic carrying strands is the final step.

A cable that size takes hours to splice, so we still can't give an exact time, but this is the last stage. Service should return once splicing on our path is complete.

Outage update, morning

Crews worked overnight. One of the smaller fiber cables has been repaired, but it isn't the one carrying our traffic.

Excavation is on hold while the carrier sources the right shoring equipment for the dig site. They can't safely work in the hole until it arrives. Once it does, they'll finish exposing the damaged cable and start splicing.

Still no restoration time we'd trust enough to give you. This is a large repair and we expect it to take most of today.

We know that's not what anyone wants to hear. We'll keep posting as it moves.

Outage update

We have more detail from the fiber carrier. A construction crew bored through the conduit and cut multiple fiber cables. This is a regional cut affecting providers across northern Arizona.

The repair means digging up the damaged section, replacing several hundred feet of fiber, and splicing it back together. Crews are mobilizing now.

We still don't have a restoration time, but this is a large repair and we expect it to run overnight. We'd rather tell you that plainly than keep saying soon.

Nothing to fix on your end. We'll post as soon as we have a real time.

Outage update

The fiber cut affecting our service is a regional one. It's taken down providers across northern Arizona, not just us, and the repair is with the fiber carrier rather than our crews.

We're monitoring it and will post as soon as we have a restoration time. There's nothing to fix on your end and nothing our techs can do to speed it up, which is a frustrating thing to have to say.

We're aware of an outage affecting service right now. A fiber line feeding our network has been cut, and the repair is underway.

We don't have a restoration time yet. We'll post updates here as we get them.
