New custom home rescue project in Prescott Valley is moving! Sign is up 👍 So many people coming together to save this dream home project for the family 🙏 Rough HVAC, electric, and plumbing all moving - having to redesign and rethink along the way a bit, but it’s all good. Framers are doing a great job getting things dried in with windows and siding which makes it look more like a house. Hoping we can get the roof dried in by mid to end of next week… So amazing to see smiles on the faces of the owners again 😊

just celebrated their 70th Birthday - congratulations to them! Today as Jason was strategically dismantling the former Prescott City Hall he stumbled upon this gem. A genuine Haley Construction tagged I beam from the original construction project 👍 Jason did reach out to Haley Construction and the beam has been set aside for them. What a cool piece of history for their company and family!

We are rescuing a new home build! Actually, we’re rescuing two new builds, but we’ll start with this one. A Navy couple, one active duty and the other former active duty now a reservist, hired a contractor from the valley to build their dream home in Prescott Valley. Unfortunately, that contractor took advantage of them, along with another couple in the area, and multiple families in the valley.

We have stepped in to turn their new home build from a nightmare back into the dream home they spent two years planning. There’s a lot to correct between the horribly drawn plans, poorly placed and/or missing plumbing, electrical, etc.

We are grateful to our many partners stepping in to help us get this ship righted. A big thank you to Mountain Top Plumbing, Stay Cool Heating and Air Conditioning, Stockbridge Electric, AC Framing, Cherry Builders, Sawyer Tile, , Advanced Coatings, and Showtime Roofing. JSO Contracting is serving as the general contractor on the project as well as the civil contractor.

The plans were of such poor quality for the other client that they’ve been scrapped and are being redrawn by a qualified daftsperson. We’re hoping to break ground in a few months 👍

As a final note, the ROC has revoked the other contractors license. It’s our understanding that AZ Family 3 On Your Side will be covering the story of our clients on Friday. Watch for the coverage and hear the story in their own words. Truly sad, but we’re going to make it better with the help of our friends!

The General Contractor on the old city hall project in Prescott, Porter Brothers Contruction, along with the owner of the project, and JSO Contracting met with an arborist at the site on Monday to assess the Bicentenial Tree. The arborist assessed the current health of the tree and worked with us to determine the best way to work around it. He also made recommendations for an appropriate barrier. On Tuesday morning a barrier was placed based on those recommendations. Signs indicating that it’s a protected tree area will be installed soon as well. He will be out to reassess at specifically designated points throughout the project.

Please know that all parties are working in concert with the arborist as well as city officials to protect the tree to the best of everyone’s ability. It should also be noted that the tree is older and has significant damage from age and insect infestations over the years. That said, preserving the tree for its remaining years is very important to all involved.
