The mystery is solved! Spuddy made a special trip to Bangor International Airport (BGR) to welcome his friend Monty Moose back to Maine! ✈️🥔🫎

Monty wanted to be home in time for a great Maine Labor Day weekend, and Spuddy was more than happy to meet him at BGR.

How is everyone spending the holiday weekend? Summer may be winding down, but one of Maine’s busiest seasons is already getting underway. Potato harvest has begun in parts of the state! 🥔

What do you get when you put a Maine twist on a classic favorite? The Holy Donut!

Founded by Leigh Kellis, The Holy Donut began in her Portland apartment kitchen, where she experimented with creating a donut made with wholesome, trusted ingredients. The recipe that stuck? A cake-style donut made with real Maine potatoes. 🥔

More than a decade later, those famous Maine potato donuts have become a beloved Maine treat. From Chocolate Sea Salt and Maple Glazed to seasonal creations, The Holy Donut puts the versatility of Maine potatoes on display in a deliciously unexpected way. We’re proud to spotlight a Maine business that has taken one of our state’s most important crops and turned it into something truly special.

From the field to the donut box, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy Maine potatoes!

He heard a very special friend was arriving in Maine, so naturally he had to be there to welcome him.

✈️ Spuddy didn’t need a ticket for this visit.
🌲 His friend is a larger-than-life Maine character…
👀 …with some pretty impressive headgear.
