The marketing team made a movie this week 🦖 A pack of little 3D-printed flexi rexes steals an egg — until the giant one comes through the door to take it back.

Every prop was printed right here in Price: articulated dinosaurs with joints that work straight off the machine, no assembly. One of the joys of additive manufacturing is that the team can build (and film) what they imagine. And in Carbon County, home of the Dinos... it just fits. GO DINOS!

One million parts, made here at the shop in Price, Utah.

Adhesive Technologies — the folks behind the adhesive tubes you'll see at any hardware store — needed the small connector that joins the applicator to the product tube. Their injection mold was stuck overseas, and they couldn't put the order on hold. We designed for additive on our Photocentric line and started shipping.

This is the kind of thing additive does that you don't usually see talked about — keeping a real production line from going dark.

Meet Jeremiah — one of the engineers behind the scenes at Merit3D.

Jeremiah commissions our Formlabs Fuse 1+ SLS printers, builds the UR-robot automation that runs our post-processing cell, and gets prints set up for mass production. He's local to Price, Utah, almost done with his engineering degree at USU Eastern. He spent two years serving as a missionary in Africa and loves Jeeping and being outside.

People like him are why American business stays strong. We're lucky to have him on the team.

One of our favorite parts in the shop: a drone body designed a few years ago by a high school intern, using generative design software that "grows" the strongest possible shape. It looks alien — but it's incredibly strong.

That intern is now a full-time member of the Merit3D team here in Price, and he's about to finish his engineering degree. Watching local talent grow into full-time engineers is one of the best parts of this work.

Fresh batch of floats off the line for our friends at Dustless Technologies.

Dustless designed this float for their slurry vacuums, and what used to take a handful of assembled parts now comes off our Photocentric Magna line as one piece — DL110HB resin, no fasteners, ready for the tank. Made here in Price, Utah.

Printed in DL110HB on our Photocentric Magna line, with the grip texture built right into the part. Once they're back from the coating partner, they're done — production-quantity grips.

The texture is printed right into the part — no molds, no extra finishing step.

This grip and the display mount holding it were both 3D printed in PA12 nylon at our shop in Price, Utah. PA12 is tough enough to run in real production volumes, which is exactly what a part like this needs.
