A Small job we just finished up near diamond lake. We harvested most of the merchantable timber along with all the small diameter wood that was unhealthy. This was a very thick, unhealthy stand that had not been managed properly. After the logging, we pulled all stumps from the trees that were harvested. We moved all the stumps and logging debris to one location where we burnt it. We were fortunate to burn all the debris as we worked on this project so it is clean and ready for the landowner.

The new lowboy truck has been busy. The 9ft wide aspen trailer sure makes it was easy for loading the big, wide machines.

Getting started on the first job coming out of spring breakup

The crew getting it done while the weather cooperates finally…
Jordan and the Ponsse are headed to the next strip to start making logs.
Cory is in the Timberpro forwarder moving logs to the landing and loading Bryan in the Kenworth and Dalton in the Western Star.
Next one of the guys will jump in the Cat 320 with the brush rake on it to start piling and cleaning up all the slash and brush created from the logging to be burnt next fall.

Next stop is the woods to work on our brush piling contracts and masticating projects.

Our newest addition. A Cat 320 D RR. We were able to snag this very low hour, pre emissions machine. A 50k LB machine but with a reduced radius tail swing for the forestry work we do is a must. Some nice forestry guarding and then CDA Equipment hooked us up with the mulching head like always. Jake with Big Iron Fab will probably see this machine next to do the final touches on the forestry guarding.
