In only its second year of full-fledged existence, the Winter Workshop Series on Delmarva had a great turnout and dynamic conversation last night!

Thanks to our farmer presenters Calliope Farm & Schoolhouse Farmhouse, and to our ag service provider presenter UMES Small Farm, for sharing your experiences and expertise. And thanks to all attending for your commitment to learning about sustainable agriculture and networking with fellow farmers.

Next week's session on Delmarva is about growing and producing transplants with the legend Jay Martin. Invite friends to come. Look forward to seeing you all next week!

Are you in ME, NH, VT, DE, or MD? There's a great new online program to learn how to protect your farm from legal risks. Topics include employment law, creating leases, farm financing, farm insurance, business structures, and agritourism and value-added products. This training complements our newest book, Farmers' Guide to Business Structures (https://tinyurl.com/y79zkre2), written in part by Rachel Armstrong, who is a featured trainer in this program.

We strongly recommend you take a look and decide if this training is for you or someone you know. The self-paced, online module opens January 28. Check out the flyer or visit http://bit.ly/ReducingLegalRisks.
