We would like to congratulate our Q3 Legacy Award winners, Lee and Chelsy! The Legacy Award program is a peer-nominated, merit-based program that focuses on employee behaviors that embody the five core values!

Lee Pettitt is a spin setup operator at Glenn Metalcraft. He was nominated by Kevin Tuchtenhagen for showing the core value of innovation. As stated by Kevin, "Lee was facing challenges with the 78 spin lathe during a machining and trim process. Lee came in one morning and wanted to try a different technique he had thought of the night prior. He tested the technique on some scrap parts and proved it successful. He ran great parts and had zero scraps out of approximately 130 parts!! This saved time and money from needing to send them to an outside resource."

Chelsy Jensen is a quality control technician at Glenn Metalcraft. She was nominated by Sara Rocksted for showing the core values of integrity and driven. Sara stated, "I have only been at GMI for three days, and I can already see what a value Chelsy is. While I was shadowing her, she ran into an issue with a part. Rather than writing an NC and moving on, she went into action. She found the tool that caused the issue and had it removed, then notified the correct people. The whole time she stayed positive and informative on what was going on so I wouldn't get lost in the shuffle."

We are very proud of both Lee and Chelsy for their noticeable hard work and dedication to Elemet Group! Thank you to those who had nominated both of them so they were able to be recognized!
