As our reliance on metadata in e-discovery grows, it becomes more important to understand how metadata works and what effects user actions can have on it.

I think that we will see greater adoption of autocategorization technologies like Smartlogic because with the volume of content be created in organizations it is too costly to have individuals apply tags to content.

SentiWords is a high coverage resource containing roughly 155.000 words associated with a sentiment score included between -1 and 1. Words in this resource are in the form lemma and are aligned with WordNet lists (that include adjectives, nouns, verbs and adverbs). Scores are learned from SentiWordNet and represent state-of-the-art computation of words' prior polarities (i.e. polarity for non-disambiguated words) using SWN. SentiWordswas built using the method described in Guerini et al. (2013) and the dataset presented in Warriner et al. (2013).

This article talks about how Elesiver, an academic article publisher, is opening up their content to subscribers for text mining. While this is great, we know that the pace of innovation can be increased if more publishers continue to give open access for end-users to mine their content. One of the reasons, other than revenue generation, not touched on in this article is the difficulty of having the bandwith necessary to handle it. Here is another article which talks about that: http://blogs.plos.org/opens/2014/03/09/best-practice-enabling-content-mining/ -1235
