From Paducah National Weather Service:
Our survey team discovered that an EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 100 mph touched down in northeast Carlisle County and moved east-southeast into Graves County (west of Lowes). It was on the ground for approximately 1.5 miles. We will have the survey results out sometime later today. We also determined a large macroburst occurred across northeast Carlisle and northern Graves Counties with widespread straight line winds of 80 to 105 mph. Prime example of straight line winds being more intense (magnitude) and widespread, causing far more damage than the tornado itself actually did.
More to come as assessment are conducted. There are several areas for them to look at.
