The island of Haiti warmly welcomes a Mobile MaxClear unit to assist in disaster relief & preparedness thanks to the Palm Beach County Cares Organization. This unit is to be shipped to the town of Jeremie, located in the far northeast peninsula of Haiti, thanks to the Palm Beach County Cares Organization. Local police will transport the unit from Port au Prince 10 hours west to Jeremie, making sure the system is delivered safely.

The small Caribbean nation has dealt with consistent political unrest and infrastructure challenges ,as well as natural disasters, for many years. Two major earthquakes almost 10 years apart, struck Haiti in 2010 and in 2021, each reaching a magnitude of 7.0 or higher. Additionally, category 4 Hurricane Matthew ravaged the island in 2016 causing extensive damage to roads, homes and the already-fragile infrastructure. Through all the damage to the island, potable water has been an ongoing issue for many.

However, due to the humanitarian effort put forth by Palm Beach County Cares Organization, a Mobile MaxClear system will bring reliable clean water to thousands on a daily basis, by purifying up to 10,000 gallons a day. Local residents will have a consistent source of clean water for drinking, use for sanitary purposes, and be able to charge phones and medical devices from the battery storage component. Plans are for this stand-alone solar water purification unit to be the first of many to be received by Haitian communities to assist in the ongoing need for potable water.

Thanks to the Cathleen McFarlane Foundation and to the Palm Beach County Cares organization, a brand new Mobile MaxClear is heading southbound to Haiti! This fresh water system is capable of dispense up to 10,000 gallons of fresh water each day to locals, finally giving them a reliable source of clean water. Using strictly solar energy, mobile phones and medical devices will be able to charge, lives will be improved!

As the drought holds and rivers continue to dry up, the lack of clean drinking water is causing stress and violence to escalate in Kenya. Limited personal and governmental resources exacerbate the issue. Added to these problems, the water that is available is often contaminated with animal waste. Firstly, our Thoughts & Prayers go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Ida. The damage created from over 150 MPH winds is still being calculated. The next 24-48 hours are extremely important in regards to search and rescue. To make matters worse, power is currently down in New Orleans compromising water.
